On Thursday, August 27, President Kawamura visited Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka (UTeM), one of Tokushima University's overseas academic partner institutions. UTeM is home to the Tokushima University Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka Academic Center (TMAC), our overseas office, and the two universities maintain active exchange through student exchange programs and summer programs, among other activities.
During the visit, President Kawamura met with UTeM Vice Chancellor Prof. Datuk Ts. Dr. Massila Kamalrudin to discuss future collaboration between the two universities in education and research. He also attended a symposium hosted by Tokushima University at UTeM for UTeM faculty and students.
In addition, he observed sessions of the English Camp hosted by our International Center and the Design Workshop hosted by the Faculty of Engineering, both held at UTeM, as well as a Japanese language class at UTeM, and offered words of encouragement to the participating students.
Tokushima University will continue to strengthen its ties with overseas partner institutions and actively promote exchange in education and research.
