The Center for Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning, Tokushima University, held the opening ceremony for the “Tokushima Business Reskilling School 2026” on July 10th, 2026, at the No. 1 lecture room at the Center for Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning.
The “Tokushima Business Reskilling School” has restructured the “Regional Industry Human Resources Development Course” that has been held since 2005, and is further enhancing the courses that contribute to solving various management issues, such as human resource development and retention, dissemination of management philosophy, business succession, and improved engagement. In fiscal year 2026, 11 courses have been launched sequentially since July, allowing employers and employees to learn together and put what they learn into practice.
The ceremony began with an opening address by Mr. Fujimoto Masaji, Board of Director/Vice President of Tokushima University, followed by congratulatory addresses from guests of honor: Mr. Sugawara Takuya, Section Manager of the Economic Policy Division, Shikoku Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; Mr. Suzuki Kenichi, Director of the Tokushima Labor Bureau, Employment Security Department; and Mr. Hayashi Hironobu, Executive Management Director of the Tokushima Machinery and Metal Industry Association. Following this, Mr. Aki Hiroshi, President and CEO of Nita Consultant Co., Ltd. delivered a speech on behalf of the companies sending the students. Finally, a student representative, took an oath to close the ceremony.
