On July 14th, 2026, Tokushima University held the FY2026 Scholarship Award Ceremony for International Students Supported by the International Education and Research Exchange Fund at the Fujii Setsuro Memorial Hall on the Kuramoto Campus.
These scholarships are funded through the International Education and Research Exchange Fund, which was established with generous donations from corporations and organizations to support the University's international exchange activities. The Tokushima University International Education and Research Exchange Fund provides scholarships to international students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of Integrated Arts and Sciences, and Science and Technology. The Fujii-Otsuka International Education and Research Exchange Fund supports international students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Bioscience and Bioindustry.
Representatives from the donor organizations attended the ceremony, including NICHIA CORPORATION, The Awa Bank, Ltd., Nihon Funen Co., Ltd., Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., and Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc.
During the ceremony, President Dr. KAWAMURA presented scholarship certificates to the recipients' representatives. On behalf of the scholarship recipients, Mr. AIRIL ZAFRIN BIN NOORFAIZAN from the Faculty of Science and Technology, representing the Tokushima University International Education and Research Exchange Fund, and Ms. BATDORJ KHULAN from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, representing the Fujii-Otsuka International Education and Research Exchange Fund, expressed their gratitude for the generous support and shared their aspirations for their future studies and research.
Representatives of the donor organizations also delivered warm and encouraging messages to the scholarship recipients. The students renewed their commitment to their academic studies and research and expressed their determination to continue striving for excellence.
