On May 15th, 2026, the 28th Ceremony of Tokushima University Remains Return and Presentation of Letters of Appreciation was held at the Setsuro Fujii Memorial Hall.
After a moment of silence was offered for the souls of those who donated their bodies, the remains were returned to their families and letters of appreciation were presented to them. The Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry and other relevant parties offered words of condolence and gratitude.
The 2026 Interment Ceremony and Memorial Ceremony were then held in front of the cenotaph on the east side of the SEIRAN Hall. Approximately 270 people attended, including family members, members of the Tokushima University Shiragiku-kai, students from the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry, and faculty and staff, who offered flowers and prayed for the repose of the souls of those who donated their bodies.
