The Award Ceremony for Tokushima University Young Researchers by Tokushima University President for 2025 was held on December 5th, 2025.
This award, which has been in place since fiscal 2006, aims to improve the research capabilities of young researchers and promote the creation of an environment in which they can conduct research independently. It recognizes particularly outstanding young researchers under the age of 40 and awards them a certificate and research support funds.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the award, and 10 individuals were nominated by the heads of each department. After a comprehensive evaluation of their research achievements and future potential, five individuals were awarded the prize. The president handed them a certificate and a list of 1 million yen in research support expenses.
After the award ceremony, the recipients had an opportunity to talk with the president, directors, deans, etc., and after giving self-introductions including their research, they exchanged opinions on support for the research environment, etc.
