Tokushima University Introduces Naming Rights for Two Facilities for the First Time　- Nicknames Have been Used from October 1st, 2025 -

Tokushima University has been accepting applications for naming rights partners to give nicknames to university facilities since December, 2023, with the aim of improving the educational and research environment and making effective use of facilities.

Following an internal review, two naming rights partner companies have been selected for two facilities located on Josanjima Campus, and the nicknames for each facility began to be used from October 1st, 2025, as follows:

This is the first time that Tokushima University has implemented naming rights.

　　　Duration：October 1st, 2025 – September 30th, 2028
　　　 (Signing date of the agreement: September 4th, 2025)

　　　Name of the facility: Learning Commons, 1st floor of the University Library
　　　Nickname: ”Nippon Denko Learning Commons”
　　　Duration: October 1st, 2025 – September 30th, 2028
　　　 (Signing date of the agreement: September 16th, 2025)

Going forward, Tokushima University and its naming rights partner companies will work together to ensure that the nicknames of each facility become familiar and established among many users, and hope that the learning and experience gained at each facility will serve as a foundation for the students' future success in society.
