Graduate School of Science and Technology



The Graduate School of Science and Technology comprises three division offering 13 departments. It also incorporates the Center for Frontier Research of Engineering, pursuing advances in the fields of Photonics and Nanotechnology, Engineering Based Medicine and Resource Circulation.

Many teachers of the School are responsible for education and research as full-time faculty in the relevant organizations, mostly in the Department of Science and Technology for undergraduate education, and the Graduate School of Integrated Arts and Sciences or Graduate School of Advanced Technology and Science for postgraduate education.

The School obtains funds through scientific research funding agencies such as competitive research funds and external funds from a range of academic-industrial cooperation. The School is highly regarded in Japan and overseas for its track record in obtaining patents and in the journal publications featuring its extensive research findings.
