Department of oral surgery embarks on treatments of oral tumor, maxillofacial injury, jaw deformity, cystic disease, inflammation, dental implant and reconstruction of the jawbone.
In research aspect, we have first succeeded in artificial composition of carbonate apatite as new artificial bone materials in the world and put it into practical application.  We have been developing the reconstruction and the regenerative medicine of the jawbone using this carbonate apatite.
On education aspect, we aim at nurture of the dentist who can evaluate whole body state of a patient as well as can perform the oral surgical treatment. Furthermore, we also perform the education of the skills of dental implant and various alveolar bone augmentations.
