The immune systems are regulated by the interplay of many types of cells, cytokines, or adhesive molecules. We have investigated the molecular mechanisms of immune tolerance and aim to establish new therapeutic or diagnostic strategies for autoimmune or infectious diseases. In particular, we have focused on the regulation of T-cell differentiation by Notch system, search of candidate genes for autoimmune diseases. In addition, we have tried to establish a new technology to eradicate cancer cells.
