Our laboratory utilizes a wide range of research materials including cultured cells, animal models, and human tissues  to elucidate the mechanisms underlying disease onset and progression, to develop novel diagnostic technologies, and to explore potential therapeutic strategies. Current major research themes include

  1.    Development of disease analysis and diagnostic techniques using advanced imaging and optical  measurement technologies
  2.    Investigation of airway remodeling and airway hyperresponsiveness mechanisms in refractory asthma using animal models
  3.    Pathophysiological analysis and drug candidate exploration forMetabolic dysfunction-Associated Steatohepatitis (MASH) and liver fibrosis
  4.    Elucidation of the brain-gut-liver axis mediated by α- synuclein and BDNF
  5.    Understanding the pathogenic mechanisms of hepatitis D virus (HDV) infection.
