Tokushima University and Nichia Corporation (Nichia) will establish Tokushima International Science Institute (TISI) in January 2021 to promote excellent researchers and engineers who will play key-roles worldwide.
Through Nichia's mediation, TISI will collaborate with Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (Technion), one of the world's most highly regarded universities, and tackle joint research from January 2021. Technion holds the most extended history as the university in Israel and famous for the world-leading of its research achievements and educational systems. Technion has produced four Nobel laureates and large numbers of entrepreneurs; therefore, Technion is known for the most innovative universities in Israel.
In selecting the theme of joint research, we emphasized the importance of innovation, excellence, and academic values that positively impact the world. Through these collaborations, TISI heads to promote advanced leveled academic researches with personnel exchanges between Tokushima University and Technion and develop human resources.
TISI is a new initiative based on the cooperation between Tokushima University, Technion, and Nichia. Please pay close attention to the future developments of TISI.
