The 2025 Tokushima-related Exchange Meeting in Kansai
On March 5th, 2026, the "2025 Tokushima-related Exchange Meeting in Kansai," hosted by Tokushima Prefecture, was held at the Hilton Osaka. This exchange meeting brought together people from Tokushima Prefecture or those with ties to Tokushima Prefecture who are active in the Kansai region, and members of Tokushima University, including executive directors, faculty members and students, participated. This was the first time that students from Tokushima University attended such an exchange event outside the prefecture, giving presentations and exhibiting posters, making it a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of activities of Tokushima University and foster exchange.
In the student activity presentations, Mr. Asano Ran (2nd year, Faculty of Integrated Arts and Sciences), Mr. Okazaki Koji (1st year, Faculty of Integrated Arts and Sciences), and Mr. Nishida Dairen (4th year, Faculty of Bioscience and Bioindustry) from the Regional Practice Research Group NOROSHI took the stage. Mr. Asano, the group's representative, presented on the theme of "Promoting the Value of Kamikatsu Town's 'Yuko'! A Co-creation Project by Student Group NOROSHI to Explore Sustainable Regional Agriculture," describing their product development efforts based at the Kamikatsu Campus.
In addition, during the participant speeches, Mr. Harada Shinji (2nd year, Faculty of Science and Technology) from the Birdman (Tori-ningen) Project and Ms. Iguchi Kaho (3rd year, Faculty of Science and Technology) from the Awa Electric Railway Project spoke about their efforts to revitalize the region through manufacturing.
At the Tokushima University special booth within the venue, in addition to posters about the project's activities, Tokushima University's fundraising efforts and the official fan club "Engawa Campus" were introduced. After the presentation, participants who had listened attentively to the students' presentations visited the booth and engaged in a lively exchange of opinions.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the organizers and participants for their deep interest in Tokushima University's activities and for their warm encouragement. Tokushima University will continue to expand its exchanges with people across Japan who have ties to Tokushima Prefecture and promote the appeal of Tokushima University.
