The University of Tokushima have held an international academic forum on the theme “Asian Diabetes Forum in Tokushima” since 2010. This forum focuses on diabetes mellitus in Asia, especially in Japan and China where the disease is spreading at an accelerating pace.
The forum brings together world-class researchers from Japan and China who will share their experience and clinical field results. The forum is expected to be an opportunity for researchers in both countries to foster mutual understanding of research needs and joint research.
In addition, the gathering is expected to promote the development and expansion of cooperation between diabetes research organizations in Asia, especially in China, not only for basic research, but also for the business and public sectors, aimed at improving health care service.
