Our final goal that should be accomplished is to make contributions to the modern super aging society as experts on the field of oral health and social welfare. The major subjects of our research are as follows.

  • To develop novel nasal adjuvants having anti-immunosenescence activity and to shed light on the functions.
  • To establish novel methods to prevent the onset of periodontal disease by applications of human salivary proteins.
  • To unravel the producing mechanism for salivary secretory-IgA antibody.
  • To diffuse the fluorides applications for dental caries prevention.
  • To estimate the effect of oral care at welfare facilities.
  • To give light on the relation between social stratum and health disparities.

We are in charge of instructions of oral health and science, and social welfare. We are aiming to extract problems regarding oral health and social welfare in the super aging society, and to solve them by basic science research using animal models or by clinical research. Further, our missions are to bring up researchers and educators as leaders on the field of medical and nursing care and welfare as well as to have national qualifications of dental hygienists and social workers acquired　because Tokushima University is a graduate school. Now, mass recruitment for graduate students!
