At our department, our mission revolves around ensuring the well-being of our patients. To achieve this, our esteemed members, comprising faculty and graduate students, actively engage in cutting-edge research projects. Our primary goal is to preserve teeth and periodontal tissue based on the concept of minimally invasive dentistry.

Here are some of the ongoing research projects conducted within our laboratory:

1. Adhesion of tooth-colored biomaterials to dental hard tissues
2. Next-generation restorative treatment methods utilizing digital technologies
3. Development of new imaging techniques in dental medicine
4. Pathological changes and diagnostic techniques for irreversible pulpitis
5. Immunological studies on tissue distraction in marginal periodontitis
6. Treatment for dentin hypersensitivity

Through our commitment to excellence in research, education, and patient care, we strive to make significant contributions to the field of dentistry. We look forward to collaborating with fellow researchers, students, and patients in our shared pursuit of advanced minimally intervention dentistry.

In 2021, the Department of Conservative Dentistry underwent a name change to the Department of Regenerative Dental Medicine. This renaming signifies our commitment to honoring tradition while embracing the pioneering spirit of Advanced Minimal Intervention Dentistry. The field has expanded to include caries prevention and management, adhesive restorative technologies, esthetic dentistry, and dental pulp and dentin regeneration, building upon a foundation of innovative research. Our department prioritizes cutting-edge research, following the principles of clinical-based dental laboratories to address clinical challenges through fundamental research and translate findings into practice. We actively integrate innovative technologies like AI, big data, and digital dentistry, with the aim of achieving state-of-the-art medical and dental implementation.
