The primary objective of Department of Biomaterials and Bioengineering is the development of biomedical materials utilized in the oral cavity and in the human body. Based on the materials science and material engineering, we are working on enhancing the performance of existing materials and devices, enabling new functionalities, and innovating novel materials and devices through a broad range of research activities from fundamental research to prototyping of materials and devices, and evaluation using cells and animals.
