Yuki KUWANO (Assistant Professor)

Kensei Nishida (Assistant Professor)

Our department was established in October 2003 as the first department facilitating stress research in medical sciense in Japan. Using expression microarrays and bioinformatics,we are detecting biomarkers in stress-related diseases particularly in mental disorders. Now we are developing new biomental tools useful for mental health care. Our unique approaches will open a new field of stress research in medical sciences.

Research subjects

1.Expression genomics and evaluation of stress-related disorders
2.Pathophysiology of the NADPH oxidase/dual oxidase family
3.Novel functions of mRNA UTRs in stress response
