Microarray: Supplemental data

Our manuscript, entitled "Skeletal Muscle Gene Expression in Space-Flown Rats" (Nikawa et al.) has recently been accepted by The FASEB Journal. In this paper, we performed DNA microarray analysis of about 26,000 skeletal muscle genes in spaceflight rats. To promote space biology, especially space myology, we would like to open all of this microarray data after publication.
On February 1, 2003, the space shuttle Columbia exploded with seven astronauts on board, together with our laboratory animals. This accident shocked all space scientists and knocked down large space projects. We would like to dedicate this study to the memory of these seven astronauts as well as to encourage scientists in space biology. We also emphasize in this study that space samples are indispensable for space biology.
