Research Center for Management of Disaster and Environment

 

The Research Center for Management of Disaster and Environment was estab-lished in 2004 to conduct general research into the environment and disaster prevention. From 2010, it was made one of the Joint Institutes for Education and Research. In order to undertake both local disaster prevention measures and environ-mental protection, the Center promotes organic cooperation between a wide range of academic fields including engineering, science, humanities and social science, medicine and pharmacology. The Center seeks to contribute to minimizing the damage caused by the next Nankai Trough Earthquake. In addition, we are working with Kagawa University to train specialists in disaster prevention and risk manage-ment. The Center comprises the following five Divisions and District Continuity Promotion Office.
