JENESYS 2.0 13th Japanese Language Camp Exchange Program at the University of Tokushima with Vietnamese University Students

On Japanese 30, the University of Tokushima welcomed 24 Vietnamese university students who are studying Japanese, as part of the JENESYS 2.0 youth exchange program.

The aim of this program is to invigorate Japan’s economy by encouraging the latent interest in Japan and increasing the number of foreign nationals who visit Japan. It also aims to promote international understanding of the strength and attraction of the Japan brand and value, including Cool Japan.

The Vietnamese students took part in a tour of the campus led by Japanese students, watched an experiment with Japanese students in the Faculty of Engineering, and had a lecture on the history of the kimono where a teacher from a kimono school helped them to dress in kimono. They also paid a call to the President where six students performed a Vietnamese dance, and all of the visiting students sang a song from their country.
