Visit by a Group from the Health Science University of Mongolia

2014-12-8

On December 3, President Batbaatar Gunchin and Science and Technology Center Director Munkbat Batmunk, of the Health Science University of Mongolia made a courtesy call to Tokushima University.

An unofficial decision was taken in October to build a university hospital for the Health Science University of Mongolia using ODA funds, and a signing ceremony will be held this year by both governments. Consequently, President Batbaatar asked Tokushima for cooperation in designing the new hospital, the transfer of medical technology, and assistance in training doctors, nurses, and staff. Discussions also covered a proposal to hold an international conference at Tokushima to mark the tenth anniversary of exchanges between the two universities next year, and to intensify exchanges with joint research and so on.

After the courtesy call, the visiting group inspected the Tokushima University Hospital, where Hospital Director Natsuo Yasui explained the management and operation of the hospital, and the medical system and science of Japan.
