The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bangladesh Visits the University

2014-11-27

On November 12, The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bangladesh, His Excellency Mr. Masud Bin Momen, made a courtesy call to the university. After a welcome address from President Kagawa, Vice President Hosoi (responsible for international relations) gave an outline of the university. Ambassador Momen explained that since language is an issue for students from Bangladesh studying in Japan, introducing classes in English at Japanese universities at the undergraduate school level, particularly in faculties of engineering, would increase the numbers of students studying abroad in Japan. There was also an exchange of opinion with students from Bangladesh and their supervising faculty who attended.

The international students from Bangladesh talked with Ambassador Momen in a relaxed atmosphere at the welcome party afterwards.
