Graduation ceremony for the FY2013 spring Japanese language training course

A graduation ceremony was held on September 3 in the Nichia Kaikan for the FY2013 spring Japanese language training course. This training course offers intensive classes for six months to enable international students to get by in Japanese soon after they arrive in Japan.

Besides the graduation ceremony, the three students who took the course made presentations in Japanese as their final assignment. The Japanese of all the students who took the course improved beyond what you would expect from a six-month course. They have also mastered the bowing and other graceful Japanese bearing that even many Japanese people have forgotten. On the course, they appear to have learned Japanese not just as a language but also as an important means for thriving in Japanese society.

From October, the three graduates of the course will pursue research in their respective specialist fields at graduate school.

We wish them all the best in their future endeavors.
