Opening ceremony for the FY2013 spring Japanese language training course

2013-4-22

On April 12, an opening ceremony was held for the University of Tokushima International Center’s FY2013 spring Japanese language training course, at the Shinkura Campus Community and International Exchange Plaza (Nichia Kaikan). The current 2013 spring Japanese language training course welcomes one student from each of Spain, Poland, and Indonesia.

The Japanese language training course offers intensive classes for about six months as preparatory education for international students before enrollment in graduate school, to enable them to get by in Japanese soon after they arrive in Japan. The course is held twice a year in spring and autumn, featuring a teaching method unique to the Center that focuses on usable Japanese.

At the opening ceremony, Vice President Takaishi(Director of the International Center) offered a welcome greeting. Then the students introduced themselves briefly, giving their name, country of origin and specialism, using the Japanese that they have just started learning. The entire staff of the Center provide full support to enable all of the international students to express many things in Japanese at the graduation ceremony in September.
