Renewal of the academic exchange agreement with Health Sciences University of Mongolia

On October 5, the University of Tokushima renewed its academic exchange agreement with Health Sciences University of Mongolia. On the day, President Kagawa visited the Health Science University. Besides attending the commemoration ceremony for the 70th anniversary of the Health Sciences University of Mongolia, he took part in a signing ceremony for the academic exchange agreement and renewed the memorandum of understanding for student exchanges with Tokushima’s Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry.

On the day, President Kagawa of the University of Tokushima received an Honorary Doctorate from the Health Sciences University of Mongolia. Emeritus Professor Nishino, who serves as director of Tokushima University office in the Health Sciences University of Mongolia, was awarded a medal commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Mongolian democratic revolution by the president of Mongolia.

The exchanges between the University of Tokushima and the Health Sciences University of Mongolia started in 2002 with the Faculty of Medicine and since then, have developed into engagement with the Faculty of Dentistry and then the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. So far, fifteen international students have graduated from Tokushima and are playing active roles at their alma mater and elsewhere.
