University of Tokushima Summer Program 2012
Tokushima University held its Summer Program 2012 comprising four programs, with the participation of students and faculty from partner universities abroad.
Faculty of Integrated Arts and Sciences Summer School: June 15 to August 13 (8 weeks) , July 17 to August 13 (4 weeks)
On the Faculty of Integrated Arts and Sciences Summer School Program, three students took part in the 8-week course and seven took part in the 4-week course from partner universities in Ireland, China, Korea and America.
Institute of Health Biosciences Summer Program: July 29 to August 5
This was the fifth year of the Health Biosciences Course. It was attended by a total of 40 graduate students, with 30 students from universities with academic exchange agreements in China, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia and Mongolia, and 10 students from Tokushima.
Inrernational Summer School in Tokushima(ISST): August 1 to August 7
On the Inrernational Summer School in Tokushima(ISST), 48 students took part from partner universities in China, Taiwan, Korea, Indonesia and Mongolia, with 13 foreign students studying at Tokushima, and 50 Japanese students studying at the university.
Institute of Technology and Science Summer Program: August 6 to August 12
On the Institute of Technology and Science Summer School Program, a total of 137 students took part, with 63 students from partner universities in China, Taiwan, Korea, India, New Zealand and Vietnam, 14 foreign students studying at Tokushima, and 60 Japanese students studying at the university.
A total of 151 students from 11 countries participated in the Summer Program 2012, expanding the scope of the university’s engagement with other countries. Besides the courses, participants of each program took part in classes in Japanese culture, company visits and cultural exchange events. The response to the program was very positive.
